Ceramic Coating.
Coconut Creek & Fort Lauderdale.
9H nano-ceramic protection bonded to the paint. Repels water, road chemicals, and South Florida UV. Applied over correction in a climate-controlled bay by certified installers.
Wax washes off. Ceramic doesn't.
A wax topcoat lasts weeks. Sealants last months. Ceramic coating is a semi-permanent chemical bond at the molecular level — it becomes part of the paint surface. Once it's on, it stays on for years: 5 to 9 depending on the product tier and how the vehicle is cared for.
The difference is visible the first time it rains. Water beads, sheets off, takes road grime with it. Brake dust, bug strikes, bird droppings, tree sap — all of it releases cleanly in a regular wash instead of etching the clearcoat. Paint stays looking deep, glossy, and new for years longer than it would otherwise.
Big Shot Rides has been installing ceramic coatings on builds across Coconut Creek, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, Parkland, and Boca Raton for over a decade — Ferraris, Range Rovers, AMG, exotic builds, and daily drivers all going through the same prep + install process.
Bronze, Gold, Diamond — Pick the Right Warranty.
Ceramic coating products are tiered by warranty length and durability. The right tier depends on how often the vehicle is driven, where it sleeps (garage versus driveway), and how much hassle you want to put into wash routine. We're certified installers across multiple top product families and we'll spec the right tier for your build, not push the highest margin.
2-Year Coating
Entry-level tier. Daily drivers that want better wash characteristics and 2 seasons of protection without committing to the long warranty. Common pairing with lease vehicles.
5-Year Coating
The most-installed tier at the shop. Five years of warrantied protection on a quality build — sports cars, daily exotics, premium SUVs. Best price-to-protection ratio.
9-Year / Lifetime Coating
The top tier. Diamond and Lifetime products from Ceramic Pro, Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra, and IGL Kenzo. For long-term ownership, garage-kept builds, and concours / show-quality vehicles.
Certified Installer Across the Top Families.
Different paint, different climate, different use case calls for different chemistry. We carry multiple top-tier product families so the answer isn't "whatever brand we sell."
What's Included.
- Pre-install paint inspection — clearcoat condition, swirl marks, water spots, light scratches documented under multiple light sources and shown to you
- Single-stage or 2-stage paint correction before install — locks in a corrected finish, not whatever damage was there
- Full panel decontamination — clay bar, iron remover, IPA wipe, no shortcuts
- Install in a climate-controlled bay — temperature and humidity controlled for proper cure
- Certified installer application — not a detailer with a YouTube subscription
- Wheel, glass, and trim coating options bundled at quote time
- Manufacturer warranty registration on your behalf — Ceramic Pro / Gtechniq / IGL warranty paperwork filed
- 12-month inspection included — we re-check the coating and top it up if needed
What we don't do: skip correction, install over uncorrected paint that locks in swirls for 5 years, or use Amazon-tier "ceramic spray" products.
Mirror-Depth Gloss. Year-Round.
The technical answer is that ceramic forms a covalent bond with the paint clearcoat, building a 9H-hardness silica layer that water and chemicals don't stick to. The visual answer is in the reflections — a properly ceramic-coated panel shows depth that the factory clearcoat alone doesn't.
It doesn't make paint scratch-proof. Anyone selling that is selling, not installing. What ceramic does is resist swirl marks from washing, repel water and contaminants, and ease the wash routine for years. Combined with paint protection film on the impact zones, it's the complete protection package.
Yes — On Top of Everything.
Ceramic coating goes on top of factory paint, on top of color-change wraps, on top of PPF, and over matte finishes too. Each one needs the right product — matte coatings use matte topcoats so the finish isn't accidentally turned glossy.
For wrap clients, ceramic extends the life of the wrap by 1-3 years and makes the surface release dirt and bird droppings the way the bare wrap can't. For matte builds, we use Ceramic Pro matte-rated products that preserve the satin finish underneath. The protection is the same; the chemistry is matched to the surface.
Daily Drivers to Exotics.
We've ceramic-coated hundreds of builds across Coconut Creek and Broward County. The platforms we see most:
- Exotic — Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Porsche, Rolls-Royce
- Luxury European — BMW M, Mercedes-AMG (S-Class, G-Wagon), Audi RS, Range Rover (SV, Sport, Velar)
- Tesla — Model 3, Y, S, X, Cybertruck
- Performance & Muscle — Hellcat, Demon, TRX, Mustang, Camaro, Corvette
- Trucks & SUVs — F-150, Raptor, Silverado, Tahoe, Bronco, lifted builds with matte finishes
- Classic and restomod — vintage Broncos, classic Porsches, restored muscle
If your build isn't on this list, call us — we coat virtually any painted exterior, and we'll spec the right product for it.
One Drop-Off. The Whole Protection Package.
Most ceramic clients build the protection in stages: paint correction first (mandatory before ceramic), then PPF on the high-impact zones, then ceramic over everything. The sequence matters and we can do all of it in one shop visit.
The right order: correction → PPF on the front clip, rockers, and behind rear wheels → ceramic over the entire vehicle, including the PPF, the wrap, and the matte trim. Everything ends up protected, everything washes the same, everything looks deeper.
Common Questions
How long does ceramic coating last in South Florida?
Depending on product tier, a properly applied ceramic coating lasts five to nine years in Coconut Creek and Broward County conditions. Ceramic Pro Diamond, Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra, and IGL Kenzo each carry warranty terms in that range when installed by a certified shop and maintained correctly. Lifespan drops fast on cheap product, on uncorrected paint, or when installed by a non-certified detailer.
What's the difference between ceramic coating and wax?
Wax is a sacrificial topcoat that washes off in weeks. Ceramic is a semi-permanent chemical bond at the molecular level — it becomes part of the paint surface. Wax adds a few weeks of shine; ceramic adds years of protection, water repellency, and chemical resistance.
Will ceramic make my paint scratch-proof?
No. Anyone telling you that is selling, not installing. Ceramic adds a 9H hardness layer that resists swirl marks from washing and light contact, but it does not protect against rock chips or deep scratches. For impact protection use PPF underneath the ceramic.
Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?
Yes — in almost every case. Ceramic locks in whatever is on the paint at the time of application, including swirl marks, water spots, and minor scratches. We do single-stage or two-stage correction before every install. See our paint correction page for what's involved.
How much does ceramic coating cost in Coconut Creek?
Pricing depends on the product tier (Bronze, Gold, Diamond — or the equivalent IGL/Gtechniq levels), vehicle size, and how much correction work the paint needs first. Call (954) 531-9965 with vehicle and current paint condition for an exact quote.
