The Details Had to Come From Somewhere.
Four decades of car culture. One shop in Coconut Creek. Still owner-involved on every build.
Groomed for Speed.
It starts in New Jersey, early ’80s. Weekends meant Englishtown or Atco Raceway — staging lanes, burnout box, the smell of race fuel before most kids were out of bed. Family vacations weren’t beaches. They were Dover Downs, Watkins Glen, Pocono. While other kids collected cards, Chris Joerger was learning what a car sounds like when it’s built right — and what it sounds like when somebody cut a corner.
The eye for design and the mechanical hands showed up early, and they got noticed. Some people grow out of the car thing. Chris built a life on it.
The House That Ran Out of Room.
South Florida is where the obsession found its home — a place crawling with exotics, customs, and people who care about them as much as he does. Chris started building cars out of his house. Then word did what word does. Vehicles started arriving from across the country, the driveway turned into a waiting list, and there was a decision to make: slow the work down, or build the shop it deserved.
He built the shop. Big Shot Rides. Coconut Creek, Florida.
I didn’t open BSR to be the biggest shop in Broward. I opened it because rushing jobs and cutting corners became normal in this industry — and I wasn’t going to work that way.
“We’re not a ‘drop it off and hope for the best’ shop. Every vehicle that comes through our doors is treated like it’s ours, and I’m personally involved from the first conversation to final delivery. We slow things down, communicate clearly, and do the work right the first time. Everything is planned, measured, and installed with intention.
Anyone can customize a car. Doing it right, every time, is what separates the real shops from the noise.”
The Shop.
Six thousand square feet in the heart of Coconut Creek — minutes off the Sawgrass, I-75, and the Turnpike. Full-service customization for personal and commercial vehicles: wraps, paint protection film, window tint, ceramic coatings, wheels and tires, suspension, electronics, and accessories — running the materials that earn their keep: 3M, Avery, KPMF, XPEL, SunTek, System X. That includes being 3M certified wrap installers — factory-trained, not just factory-supplied.
Over a decade of work for drivers in Coconut Creek, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, Parkland, Boca Raton, and across Broward County.
The SEMA Standard.
Getting a vehicle onto the SEMA Show floor isn’t a participation trophy — it’s the industry’s hardest audience, and our builds have earned that spot three times since 2015, including a Novitec Ferrari 488 GTB, one of only two in the United States. As members of SEMA PRO, the Professional Restylers Organization, we hold our everyday work to the same standard as the show cars: planned, measured, and installed with intention.
“Big Shot Rides does the best and highest quality wraps. The owner is an artist and a very hard worker. You will not be disappointed.”
