Why It Matters

If your steering pulls or your tires wear uneven, you need a real alignment.

Not a quick toe-and-go. Not a stock-spec sheet from a tire chain that won't touch a lifted truck. Big Shot Rides runs a Hunter Hawkeye Elite alignment system in our Coconut Creek shop — the same equipment dealerships use for warranty work and what professional race teams use to set up cars at the track.

We measure all four corners, document camber, caster, toe, thrust angle, and ride height, and dial each spec to the OEM range — or to a custom setup if you've modified the suspension. You leave with a printed before/after report.

The Equipment

What Is a Hunter Alignment?

Hunter Engineering's Hawkeye Elite is the most accurate alignment system on the market. Instead of the old contact-style sensors that clamp to the wheel and drift out of calibration, Hawkeye uses high-resolution cameras and patented targets to read your wheel position in three dimensions — accurate to within hundredths of a degree.

That precision matters most on two kinds of vehicles: anything with aftermarket suspension where the geometry is no longer "factory," and any vehicle running performance or wide tires where uneven wear shows up fast.

A "Hunter alignment" isn't a service tier — it's the gold-standard tool. If a shop tells you they do alignments but won't tell you what equipment they're using, that's your answer.

Who Needs One

Who Needs an Alignment?

Just Installed a Lift Kit

Lifting a truck changes caster, camber, and toe — sometimes dramatically. Driving on a fresh lift without an alignment will scrub the outer edge off a new set of tires in 2,000 miles.

Just Installed Coilovers or a Drop

Dropping a car changes camber angle. Without correction, the inner edge of every tire dies first.

New Wheels or Tires

New rubber on the wrong geometry is wasted money. Get them aligned before the first thousand miles.

Steering Off-Center or Pulling

Classic alignment symptoms. Both are usually fixed inside an hour on the Hawkeye rack.

Hit a Curb or Pothole

Even if nothing looks bent, alignment can shift. Worth a check, especially on lowered cars.

12 Months Since Last Alignment

Suspension components wear, bushings settle, ride height changes. Annual alignment is cheap insurance.

What You Get

What's Included

  • Pre-alignment inspection — tie rods, ball joints, control arm bushings, sway bar end links, ride height
  • Four-wheel measurement on the Hunter Hawkeye Elite system
  • Adjustment of camber, caster, toe, and thrust angle — to spec or to your custom target
  • Test drive and final verification
  • Printed before/after report you keep

If we find a worn component that will throw the alignment back out within weeks, we'll show you the part on the rack and quote the repair before doing the alignment. We won't charge you for an alignment that won't hold.

Lifted Truck Specialists

We Know Modified Suspension.

A standard tire-shop alignment tech sees a lifted truck and reaches for the same factory specs they'd use on a stock pickup. That's not how lifted suspension works. The control arm geometry has changed, the differential angle has changed, and the bump steer curve has changed.

We've aligned hundreds of lifted trucks — F-150s, Silverados, RAMs, Tacomas, Wranglers, Broncos, GMC Denali HDs. We know which kits need adjustable upper control arms to align properly, which need a caster correction kit, and which will be fine on stock geometry.

Same goes for lowered cars. A drop on coilovers needs a camber kit on most platforms. If you're getting a lift kit or lowering kit installed with us, the alignment is included — drive it onto the rack the same day.

Performance & Exotic

From Daily Drivers to Ferraris.

Performance and exotic cars demand the kind of precision that only camera-based alignment delivers. A Ferrari SF90 with wide rear rubber will eat tires fast on the wrong toe and camber. A McLaren 720S after lowering needs custom corner-weight-aware geometry — not factory spec.

We treat every exotic the way the dealership should: climate-controlled bay, soft tie-downs, white-glove handling. Same goes for a clean daily driver — your car comes back the way it came in, just dialed.

Hunter aligned, road tested, documented — every time.

Bundle the Build.

Most alignment customers come in for more than one thing. We can do all of it in one drop-off.

The Shop

One Shop. Every Service.

Big Shot Rides isn't a tire shop with a rack stuck in the back. We're a full-service custom shop — wraps, PPF, ceramic, chrome delete, wheels, tires, suspension, and alignment — all under one roof in Coconut Creek.

That matters because it lets us sequence a build the right way. Lift the truck, mount new wheels and tires, align it on the Hunter, wrap it, PPF the high-impact zones, ceramic the finish. One drop-off, one pickup, one warranty conversation.

FAQ

Common Questions

How much does a Hunter alignment cost?

Pricing depends on vehicle type and whether the suspension is stock or modified. Lifted trucks and lowered cars take longer than factory-spec alignments. Call (954) 531-9965 for a free quote.

Do I need an alignment after installing a lift kit?

Yes. A lift kit changes caster, camber, and toe — sometimes by several degrees. Driving on a fresh lift without an alignment will wear the outer shoulder off a new set of tires within a few thousand miles.

Do I need an alignment after installing a lowering kit?

Yes. Lowering a vehicle changes camber angle. Most lowered cars need a camber correction kit to bring the front tires back into proper alignment range and prevent inside-edge tire wear.

How long does a Hunter alignment take?

A factory-spec alignment on a stock vehicle takes about 60–90 minutes. Lifted trucks, lowered cars, and vehicles needing adjustable control arms or camber kits typically take 2–3 hours.

Do you align exotics and high-end performance cars?

Yes — and frequently. We work on McLarens, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, and other exotic and high-performance platforms regularly. Soft tie-downs, climate-controlled bay, full Hunter precision.
