Window Tint in
Coconut Creek FL.
Ceramic and carbon tint that blocks heat without going dark. Florida-legal shades on the front, your choice on the back. Same-day install on most vehicles, lifetime warranty registered with the film manufacturer.
Florida Sun Has No Mercy.
Untinted glass turns a South Florida car into an oven. Heat saps your A/C, UV bakes your dash and leather, and the cabin hits 140°F+ in a closed parking lot. Quality ceramic tint blocks up to 99% of UV and 70% of infrared heat — without making the car look like an unmarked van.
99% UV Block
Stops the rays that fade leather, crack the dash, and burn skin on long Florida commutes. Same SPF protection as 30+ sunscreen, all day, every day.
Up to 70% Heat Rejection
Premium ceramic films reject infrared heat the same way Low-E windows do at home. Cabin cools faster, A/C works less, fuel economy improves on long drives.
Glare Reduction
Cuts windshield glare and headlight glare at night. Easier on the eyes, safer driving, no squinting through Florida sunsets.
Shatter Resistance
Adhesive layer holds glass together if it cracks. Adds a layer of break-in deterrence and reduces flying glass risk in an accident.
Ceramic vs. Carbon vs. Dyed.
Three film tiers, three completely different products. We only carry the top two — here’s why dyed isn’t worth installing in Florida.
Ceramic
- Up to 70% infrared heat rejection
- 99% UV block
- No signal interference (metal-free)
- 10+ year lifespan, no purpling
- Lifetime warranty
- SunTek Evolve, CIR & CXP
Carbon
- 40-50% heat rejection
- 99% UV block
- No signal interference
- 7-10 year lifespan
- Limited lifetime warranty
- Good budget alternative to ceramic
Dyed
- Minimal heat rejection
- UV block only when new
- Fades to purple within 2-3 years
- Bubbles in Florida heat
- No real warranty

Know The Rules. We File The Cert.
Florida sets specific VLT (Visible Light Transmission) limits per window. Going darker than legal gets you a non-moving violation. Big Shot Rides files the certificate of installation with every job, included.
The Limits — Cars & SUVs
Front Side Windows
28% VLT minimum
Must let in at least 28% of light. Darker than this is illegal.
Rear Side Windows
Any darkness
Limo tint legal. Go as dark as you want.
Rear Windshield
Any darkness
Same as rear sides. Most popular: 5-15% VLT.
Windshield: Top 6-inch strip only (non-reflective). SUV / Van rear: Some allowances loosen for multi-purpose vehicles — we’ll spec what’s legal for your build.
Every Make. Especially Tesla.
Daily driver, exotic, classic, Tesla, lifted truck — we cut every job from the roll, not bargain pre-cut kits. Tesla owners especially: the all-glass roof and massive rear glass on Model 3/Y need ceramic, period.
Tesla
Model 3, Y, S, X, Cybertruck. Ceramic only — heat rejection on the glass roof is non-negotiable.
Exotic & Performance
Lambo, Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche, GT-R. Match factory clarity, no installation marks.
Daily Drivers
Sedans, SUVs, crossovers — anything from Honda to Mercedes. Same install quality.
Trucks & Lifted
F-150, F-250, Silverado, Ram, Tundra. Big glass, big heat — we spec ceramic.
The Way We Install.
Same install bench, same hands, every job. No subcontractors, no rushed pre-cut kits.
Pre-Install Glass Prep
Every window cleaned three times — soap, alcohol, lint-free. Trapped contamination is the #1 cause of bubbles down the line.
Cut From The Roll
Patterns plotted from manufacturer specs, hand-trimmed to YOUR vehicle’s exact glass. Not bargain pre-cut kits that leave a 1/8″ gap on every edge.
Heat-Shrink To Compound Curves
Rear glass curves in two directions. We heat-shrink the film so it conforms perfectly — no relief cuts, no seams, no fingers.
Warranty Registered + Cert Filed
Lifetime warranty registered with the manufacturer in your name. Florida certificate of installation filed before you drive away.
Choose Your SunTek Film.
We’re an authorized SunTek dealer. Four film levels — from innovative carbon to our best ceramic. Every one blocks 99% of UV, resists interior fade, finishes in a non-reflective black, and is backed by a manufacturer’s lifetime limited warranty.
VLT = visible light (lower = darker) · IR = infrared rejection · TSER = total solar energy rejected. All SunTek films: 99% UV block, non-reflective black finish, lifetime limited warranty.
Not sure how dark to go? In Florida, front side windows must stay at 28% VLT or lighter — we’ll spec what’s legal for your build and file the certificate with every job.
Real Installs, Real Cars.
Every tint job is cut from the roll and installed in-house at our Coconut Creek shop — here are a few recent installs.
Tint Pairs With Everything.
Most clients don’t stop at tint. Wrap + tint is the cleanest blacked-out look. PPF + tint + ceramic is the full no-compromise protection package. We sequence the work so every layer plays nice with the next.
Common Tint Questions.
What’s the darkest tint legal in Florida?
Front side windows must allow at least 28% visible light through (VLT). Rear side windows and the rear windshield can be any darkness in Florida. The windshield is limited to a 6-inch top strip. We file the certificate of installation with every job.
How long does ceramic window tint last?
Premium SunTek ceramic tint (Evolve and CIR) lasts 10+ years without bubbling, fading, or purpling, backed by a lifetime warranty when installed by a certified shop. Cheap dyed tint typically fails within 2-3 years in Florida sun.
Will window tint interfere with my phone or GPS signal?
No. SunTek ceramic tints (Evolve, CIR and CXP) are metal-free, which means no interference with cell signal, GPS, satellite radio, or keyless entry. Older metalized films cause interference; we don’t install those.
Can you tint a Tesla?
Yes. Tesla Model 3, Y, S, X, and Cybertruck are common builds at the shop. We use SunTek ceramic film (Evolve or CIR) because the all-glass roof and rear window need maximum heat rejection without going dark.
How long does the installation take?
A full-vehicle tint installation typically takes 2-4 hours. Most cars are dropped off in the morning and ready the same afternoon. The film needs 3-5 days to fully cure — small water haze or bubbles during that window are normal and clear on their own.
